During the give-away promotional of The Dragoneers: The Chronicles of Susah Book One on 21 Dec, for a little while there it appeared as if The Dragoneers was tied with The Hobbit. The reality was: The Hobbit was 5th in “Paid” books and The Dragoneers was 5th (eventually moving to 4th) in “Free” books. Plus The Hobbit had 2000 more customers comments. Could it have been because JRR Tolkien has an initial advantage over CD Sutherland?  Maybe, but most probably it is because The Dragoneers was just published in November of this year–The Hobbit is already an established Epic Fantasy classic.

The Dragoneers is currently standing at slightly less than #8000 against the million plus Paid Books at Amazon.  Yesterday, over 2000 ebooks were placed into the kindles and kindle software of people in the United States, United Kingdom, and Denmark.  As the customer comments start coming in the weeks follow, we may be able to decide if The Dragoneers will ever measure up to the great classic, The Hobbit.

Tuesday, December 20th, 2011

The new 5-star rated novel, previously only available in kindle format, is now available in print.  You can find the book here.  It is listed for $14.99, but facebook buzz reports a distributor-level discount is available between now and Christmas for the general public.  The promo code can be found in facebook,  here.

One 5-star review commented:  “This book really grabs you from the start. The setting is biblical pre flood. Mr Sutherland takes you on an unforgettable journey through a fantastic land filled with dragons, giants and Noah’s family. There is good and definitely evil. The rough characters are so vividly described that you will be amazed that there is no foul language. The battle sequences are incredible with air to ground combat highlighting military tactical and strategic attention to detail.”

There really is more to the story…
